Tamara Private Hospital celebrates International Women's Day

Mar 08, 2022

Tamara Private Hospital is proudly celebrating its 127 female team members this International Women’s Day.

Tamara Private Hospital CEO, Trish Thornberry said 75 percent of her workforce is female, with women holding many roles across the hospital.

“Tamara Private Hospital boasts a wonderful, multinational, female staff so we’re proud to celebrate International Women’s Day and support the 2022 theme of creating better futures together,” Dr Thornberry said.

“Women hold many roles within our hospital ranging from our management team, our nurses, allied health, environmental and support services staff. We are also lucky to have amazing female surgeons, anaesthetists and GPs working within the hospital.

“Many of our female staff have incredible stories of their working life and I’m proud that our hospital, with the support of Ramsay Health Care Australia, can help them achieve their work aspirations.”

Ramsay Health Care’s four regional NSW hospitals (Tamworth, Armidale, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie) have female Chief Executive Officers.

“We are extremely lucky to work within a company that supports women in senior executive roles,” Dr Thornberry said.

“I’m so proud to celebrate the contribution of women in healthcare every day, but particularly on International Women’s Day.”
