Paul grew up in Gunnedah and completed his undergraduate Dental Degree from Sydney University in 1987. He then spent time working at Westmead Hospital, Royal Newcastle Hospital and the United Dental Hospital in Sydney, completing his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 1992. Paul moved to Tamworth in January 1993 and commenced practice with Dr Bruce Stewart He has worked in all fields of dentistry and pursued further post graduate education in both orthodontics and implant dentistry.
As the principal of Darling Dental he engages in all the different specialities of dentistry, including particular interests in preventative dentistry, oral surgery and orthodontics. Away from work and family, Paul is kept busy being a charter member of the Rotary Sunrise Club, a member on both St Nicholas’ Primary School Board and the St Nicholas’ Parish Council, a novice road cycler, a keen fan of cricket, and a rugby referee for nearly 30 years, contributing to his undying passion for the game.
