Dr Michael Dan grew up in Newcastle and was accepted into the Australian Orthopaedic Association’s training scheme in 2016, rotating across major Sydney and Newcastle hospitals, including Liverpool, St Vincent’s and John Hunter Hospital. Michael gained experience at Randwick Children’s Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Gosford Hospital, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour and Tamworth Base Hospitals.
Michael completed sub-specialty training at the Lyon Knee School, France alongside world-recognised knee surgeon Dr David Dejour. The Fellowship included complex and comprehensive knee surgery across a range of ailments including congenital conditions, sporting injuries and joint replacement surgery (partial, total and revision).
