Max Leibenson was born in Russia. He graduated from Hebrew University
Medical School in Jerusalem in 2004 and completed his Orthopaedic Training
at Soroka University Medical Center in Beer – Sheva in 2010. Soroka Hospital is
a major trauma referral center, serving a population of one million people. Dr
Leibenson came to Australia with his wife, Dr Lilach Leibenson (O&G) and three
children in 2011. He has done a year of Lower Extremity Arthroplasty Fellowship
with Lawrence Kohan in Sydney in 2011. He has obtained his Australian
Orthopaedic Qualifi cations (FRACS) in 2014.
Over the course of the last 5 years Dr Leibenson practised in a few different
settings, both regional and rural, working in Mildura, VIC during the last year
and a half.
As a surgeon providing service to general population of the regional Australia,
Dr Leibenson does not sub-specialise in a single area of Orthopaedics. He
performs hip and knee arthroplasties, as well as a variety of upper and lower
extremity elective and trauma-related procedures.
Dr Leibenson has admitting rights as a Visiting Medical Specialist with
Tamworth Base Hospital.
